I have an ALR Business VEISA 486/25.... In their infinite wisdom, ALR chose to imbed an 8 bit IDE controller onto an otherwise nifty EISA motherboard... As soon as the new micropolis SCSI drive gets out; I will probably shift to SCSI and go that route... In the meantime, would going to a 16 bit IDE card help my throughput any (I am getting about 750Kbs data transfer rate to my Plus 100 Meg Hard Drive) Also, I am running under SCO Unix... Please reply via email to: krone%swatty@attmail.com (Preferred path -- cheaper) krone@mus.com (Alternate Path) While I am querying; does any one know of a good disk unfragmenting program for SCO Unix.???? Thanx, Larry Krone
