Randy was able to remotely command a local LA two meter TNC. I had two TAPR TNCs placed back to back on their serial ports, with one TNC connected to the ao-10 gear, and the other connected to a 2 meter handheld on 145.36MHz. The oscar TNC was in transparent mode, the local TNC was just attached, initially it was in command mode. The setup was VE1SAT - remote satellite station/TNC | v Oscar-10 Transponder | v NK6K-0 satellite packet station, Redondo Beach | v NK6K-0 local packet station (145.36 MHz) | v Los Angles/San Diego Once VE1SAT was connected to the serial input of a local LA TNC, he could connect to anyone. The endpoint selected was WB6YMH-2, a TNC with a CPM ($50 820 board) system. Once connected to WB6YMH-2, Randy ran a version of the W3IWI orbit program. The test ended when the temporary cable between TNCs fell apart, but it was enough to show the idea. Harold.
