[net.ham-radio] 40M Rotatable Dipole

I will be putting up a tower soon. I have a Hy-Gain TH3-Jr for 20-15-10
and am considering the addition of a 40M rotatable dipole (sort of like
a 1 element beam) above it.

I know of units made by KLM, Mosley, and Cushcraft but do not know
anyone with any experience with either one. From the literature I lean towards
the KLM right now but might easily be convinced in another direction.

Any thoughts on installation? 40M vs. 15M scares me! I have been advised
to keep at least 6ft of mast between the two antennas and to mount the 40M
dipole parallel to the boom of the tri-bander to reduce coupling. The
tri-bander should be lower on the mast since 40M needs the extra bit
of elevation more than the other bands.

PS. What's the best thing to put on hardware to prevent/reduce corrosion?
(I known stainless steel HW is best. But what's second best?)

TNX for any replies.
