Hello, For the first time in my life, I've gotten the following error from dump: <stuff deleted> DUMP: (This should not happen)bread from /dev/rxd1g [block 997600]: count=8192 , got=-1 DUMP: 68.36% done, finished in 0:06 DUMP: (This should not happen)bread from /dev/rxd1g [block 1028326]: count=512 0, got=-1 DUMP: (This should not happen)bread from /dev/rxd1g [block 1028336]: count=819 2, got=-1 DUMP: 92.57% done, finished in 0:01 DUMP: (This should not happen)bread from /dev/rxd1g [block 990336]: count=8192 , got=-1 DUMP: (This should not happen)bread from /dev/rxd1g [block 992144]: count=8192 , got=-1 This is happening consistently. Are these bad blocks that I need to map out? I'm sure this is a straightforward thing that many of you have seen before.... I'm on a Sun 4/260 running SunOS 4.0.3. Please respond to jar@apple.com.
