The operating schedule is as follows: Frequencey Times ---------- ---------------- 3860 KHZ 0700 -> 1300 UTC 7185 KHZ 1300 -> 2200 UTC 14295 KHZ 0700 -> 2200 UTC 21390 KHZ as band conditions permit 147.45 MHZ (FM) 0700 -> 2200 UTC (Washington DC - Baltimore MD area) The station, WA3NAN will operate from 0700 UTC (2 AM EST) until 2200 UTC (5 PM EST), except during the crew's sleep periods. The station is located at the Goddard Space Flight Center, in Greenbelt, Maryland. This is about 10 miles or so north of Washington DC. It's a great change from the sporadic and cursory coverage that the television news media provides. Three cheers for the guys at WA3NAN providing this service to the amateur community. Of course anyone with a shortwave radio or programmable police scanner are welcome to listen too! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Louis A. Amateur Radio rules prohibit broadcasting or rebroadcasting. A blanket waiver has been granted by the FCC to cover shuttle flights (any ham may retransmit shuttle communications if they get NASA's permission first). However, I am afraid that taping them and redistributing them would be a violation.
