We are currently evaluating a configuration management system and are trying to decide between sccs and rcs. What are the advantages or disadvantages of each of these? Is rcs easily obtainable/available on a wide range of systems? Is either one more flexible or configurable? Please email responses to me and I will try to post a summary of responses if any other people are interested. Some time early 1991, there was a detailed comparison on rcs/sccs in comp.unix.internals or comp.unix.wizards. Several articles were posted for about a month. Too bad I did not save the summary. It will be helpful to you if you can dig it out of an archive. If some kind soul has a more precise reference, that would be helpful too. -KHUSHRO So much news, so little time ...
