Wanted: everyone who is using Coherent (unix for pc's) and would like to trade sources, binaries, and information with other Coherent users. I'd like to form an e-mailing list of Coherent users as I think one is necessary. Please mail me your name and email address with a short message if you would like to be part of this group. -Pred pred@iitmax.iit.edu

I have had several DOS BB owners ask me about Coherent. It seems a though the $99.95 price has really generated a _lot_ of interest. My question of course is how does it compare with the current companies selling Unix and Xenix. What utilities do you get. Is it System V? Does it include streams (needed for X and TCP). (Ooops, more than one question, sorry.) I guess I could just call up Coherent and ask them. Of course if they had an e-mail address and recieved this news group it would help. (Hint, Hint, Hint) [ For those interested an ad for Coherent appeared in the August 90 [ Issue of Byte on page 90. The software is apperantly published [ by Mark Williams Company. - By the way I eliminated all of that crossposting above. There exists an internet list, it is brand new, but it is active.
The address for the list is:
coherent@cs.wisc.edu
and for administrative things you can contact:
coherent-request@cs.wisc.edu
Hope this helps.
