Okay, it's time to squeeze a personal 386 machine into the budget, so I need some opinions from the rest of the world. We run mostly Compaq hardware here at this office, and while the machines have been fairly reliable, the pricing is way too nasty to contemplate. So I need to find a machine, probably from one of the mailorder houses, that [a] has a decent reputation in terms of hardware reliability, and [b] can handle ISC UNIX. Opinions, please? My biggest concern is, of course, overall price. My second concern is behavior with ISC, especially in terms of disk drives, monitor, or other BIOS oriented matters. Email please, so we don't waste bandwidth on an opinion war. I'll summarize after the results, suggestions, flames, and whatever roll in.
