I sent out a message a week or so ago about a problem I had in getting my system to spool (and print) files. Well, I'm not sure what the problem was, because it went away by itself! :-) But now each time I print a file, I get the following two mail messages (because I have it configured to send me errors via mail). (the system name is 'unixland' and the printer is 'epson'. ----- Subject: Status of lp request epson-45 Status: OR Your request epson-45 destined for epson encountered an error while printing on printer epson. Reason for failure: + trap exit 15 + trap catch_hangup; exit_code=129 exit 129 1 + trap catch_interrupt; exit_code=129 exit 129 2 3 + exec ------ Subject: Problem with printer epson The printer epson has stopped printing for the reason given below. Fix the problem and bring the printer back on line to resume printing. The reason(s) it stopped (multiple reasons indicate repeated attempts): + /usr/spool/lp/bin/lp.cat 0 ------- The files do, I believe print to completion (I haven't looked too closely yet, but I think they finish). Anyone else seen anything like this?
