I would like to get some product information on the following: - V386 cross development tools targeting the i860 - Intel i860 boards for installation in a PC/AT bus V386 system - native i860 support software (operating system, compilers etc.) - Intel V386 Unix (a probable replacement for Xenix on 2 machines) We have a number of floating point intensive applications and are looking for a cost effective way to increase throughput. We would like to stay with the V386 machines/os because of the extremely reasonable pricing of hardware and software add-ons. From limited information to date, we feel that an i860 board added to one of our existing machines may give us the required increase in throughput. Any information, commants or contact points will be appreciated. -- ========================================================================= Bill Hatch (301)470-3839(w) (301)441-1675(h) Coleman Research, 14504 Greenview Drive, Laurel MD 20708 All opinions expressed are my own - dont blame my employer or alembic systems

They are currently advertising ther SVR4 product in all the UNIX wrags. If you can't find an add, send me email for the contact info. Two notes: 1. Their OS has built in support for both processors. 2. I have never seen or used their products. All the info I have is marketing hype. >We have a number of floating point intensive applications and are looking >for a cost effective way to increase throughput. We would like to stay You might want to try the Weitek abacus floating point processor. Most , if not all, System V/386 products have support for that processor and most 386/486 motherboards will accept one. -- Conor P.
