If you are using ESIX's 3.2 UNIX, I'd like you to email me your opinion about using it for the situation described below. Thank you. I am considering using ESIX for a "black box" type system that receives data via TCP/IP and Ethernet, spools it, performs some processing, then feeds it to another device (a laser film printer). There will be a "console" process to control the system, but no users in the traditional sense. This application is basicly an industrial controller. How well do you think ESIX 3.2 will work for this situation? How reliable is it? Will the system run unattended for long periods of time? There will not be a system manager on-site.
