[comp.unix.sysv386] ISC kernel symbol 'machenv'?

tneff@bfmny0.BFM.COM (Tom Neff) (10/07/90)

Can someone tell me what 'machenv' does in the Interactive kernel? I
got the Archive Viper drivers on floppy but after I install them on my
non-ISC UNIX the kernel build bombs on the undefined symbol 'machenv'.
I don't mind dummying it up but I have to know how it's defined and what
it's supposed to return or contain.

It is a structure that contains contains the machine type, and several
machine configurations items (like display type, math co-processor and type,
etc). It (and the element settings) is defined in <sys/machenv.h>.
