I'd like to install the Microport Text Processing Package on my SV386 R3.2.2 system, but both installpkg and cpio (many options tried!) fail. Has anyone any suggestions? If I remember correctly, they are cpio formatted, but the first track is skipped. Try the following: dd if=/dev/rfd0 bs=15k skip=1 | cpio -itvB -- Conor P. Which flavor are you using? Installpkg must be run as root from the console. You might try using the bourne shell if you've been using the kormn shell. Richard Ducoty duc@mport.com uunet!mport!duc
