[comp.unix.sysv386] Interactive 2.2 And Multiple User Groups

peter@orfeo.radig.de (Peter Radig) (10/22/90)

Has anyone successfully used the new 2.2 feature that a user may belong
to more than one group?

As I understand the Release Notes it must be possible to access the files
belonging to another user via the group-flags if I'm member of that user's
group in /etc/group.

Or am I wrong?

Thanks,
Peter

The problem is that the program making use of this feature must have been
compiled for the POSIX environment.
