[comp.unix.sysv386] ISC 2.2: How To Force System Dump?

ntm1569@dsacg3.dsac.dla.mil (Jeff Roth) (10/25/90)

Apologies if this is a frequently-asked-question, but is there any
way to force a system coredump if a machine is hung? (System is a
Zenith 386 running Interactive System V/386 release 2.2).

Install the Kernel Debugger via kconfig and if your system is
hanging (most time the debugger is still accessable) press
alt-ctrl-d to enter the debugger and give the keyword
sysdump<return>

Better see you man-pages about 'debugger' before or read the
manuals !
