Will someone plez tell a poor uninformed person what the Turing test is? I am fairly familiar with Alan Turing and his famous machine, I even wrote a crude Turing machine simulator a couple of months before the latest greatest article on the subject came out in Byte magazine; my Pascal version was in several ways superior to the Fortran version in Byte. But I must admit total ignorance of the Turing test with the Chinese lettering or whatever.
