[comp.unix.sysv386] recovering vi tmp files after reboot

ade@clark.edu (Adrian Miranda) (11/18/90)

How does one go about recovering the vi buffers left in the /tmp
directory after the machine has crashed and been rebooted? I can't
seem to find anything about this in the manuals. I assume one must
put something in /etc/rc2.d to take care of it before the /tmp
directory is cleaned up. I am using ESIX system V r3.2, if it
matters.

Please email, I will summarize if appropriate.
Thanks in advance.
