Thomas Roell sent me email in response to my recent posting about using a Logitech mouse and the PVGA1A driver with his X386 server. I thought you all out in netland would be interested in his answers: me> Has anyone out there hacked Roell's X11R4 X386 server to work properly with me> a Logitech bus mouse? The documentation for the server doesn't mention me> support for the Logitech bus mouse, so I just assumed that it was absent. me> Is there a simple workaround for this? Roell> I think if you use the 'BusMouse' driver this should work. me> Also, the documentation for the server claims that the PVGA1A (Paradise me> 1024 VGA board) support is "broken." This is the graphics board that I have me> in my machine. Has anyone out there gotten the server to work in me> 640x480x256 with this video board? Roell> My Beta-Tester for PVGA1A stated that the driver is usable, but has some Roell> bugs, which are not SOO serious. -- Brad Karp, (203) 436-3060 (voice) | The views expressed in the text my 386: karp%softshop.uucp@cs.yale.edu | you have just perused are not my via Yale CS Dept: karp-brad@cs.yale.edu | own; rather, they are those of the Box 2443 Yale Station, New Haven, CT 06520 | heavenly muse who sings in me. -JM
