Interesting comments Andy, and I agree.  Here are some other thoughts.

	o  There is a no-code band.  It's around 11 Meters.

	o  Code is good for those who want to use it, and I do.

	o  Very few Amateurs use their equipment for emergencies.

	o  Not all the jammers are in California. 	o  They are in Dallas too -
and they are usually locals.

	o  Some are the good ole boys who don't want the lids, kids
           and space cadets using "their" frequencies.

	o  It appears that the original message was inteded to
           start a controversy.  WOW!

	o  Amateur radio provides a foundation for many and varied
           interests.  

	o  That's what we aught to be concentrating on!
