As a service to the usenet newsgroup community, INTERACTIVE would like to
announce some new support programs we have introduced that should help to
better serve the needs of the INTERACTIVE UNIX Community.  We have recently
made available to the general public a free 30 day Technical Support Warranty
period, and purchasable post warranty support options have been expanded and
are designed to provide varied levels of support.

The following should serve to explain our full line of support services.

INTERACTIVE DIRECT!
-------------------
End User Installation Warranty Support

INTERACTIVE offers 30 days of free warranty technical support with every
INTERACTIVE UNIX software license sold.  This warranty support covers basic
support needs, including installation, system configuration, and basic
trouble-shooting, and is accessible by calling (213) 453-8649.

The Technical Support Warranty is available to customers once they have
returned the enclosed Warranty Registration card to INTERACTIVE.  The
warranty period begins with the first inquiry made, and is activated through
their product serial number.  Their serial number will be registered and
validated upon each call, allowing us to track support histories, and helping
us notify customers of future software updates and special upgrade pricing.

CONSULTATIONS
-------------

Once the 30 days of free warranty support has expired, the customer may
extend their support by purchasing an annual contract, or on an "as needed"
basis via "consultation" purchases. Each consultation will be comprised of as
many phone conversations as is necessary to bring closure to a specific
issue.  The price of a single consultation is $60.

A consultation must be paid for in advance, and may be charged to the
customer's valid Visa or MasterCard.  A block of 10 consultations may be
purchased at a discounted price of $500, may be used over any period of time,
and will cover issues relating to all the INTERACTIVE UNIX family of
products.  These warranty extension consultations may only be purchased
directly from INTERACTIVE, by calling 1 800 346-7111.

An annual support contract may also be purchased after the expiration of the
warranty period. This is the RESPONSE/ix Support Program, and is available
at a 20% discount within 60 days of the initiation of the support warranty.

Annual Reseller and End User Site License Support

RESPONSE/ix is an annual plan designed for end users wishing site license
support, and for resellers of a given set of INTERACTIVE UNIX products.  The
program is modular, allowing the flexibility to customize your support plan
based on your specific needs.  All modules allow for unlimited FAX and
electronic inquiries, 24 hour access to an electronic bulletin board system,
and a subscription to Tech Topix, the INTERACTIVE technical support
newsletter.  Each module also contains a number of emergency phone
consultations, when an immediate answer to a question or real time
troubleshooting assistance is required.
