[comp.unix.sysv386] Roell's server is at expo.lcs.mit.edu

North American locations of Tom Roell's sVGA server for 386/ix and Esix:

The latest release of Tom Roell's server (no, not the one due out in
late December) is at MIT (expo.lcs.mit.edu). This is the source for
386/ix 2.0.2 / 2.2 as well as the fonts, binaries and development
libraries. It is located in /contrib under the names 386ix...tar.Z.
UUNET (uunet.uu.net) is carrying the just the source I believe (Xserver.tar.Z
located in /X/386ix).

The Esix binaries, etc. can be found in pub/esix at:

       freebie.engin.umich.edu [141.212.68.23]

This is not a permanent arrangement with the site administrator so
I wouldn't delay ftp'ing it if you really want it (if I was using Esix).

To my knowledge, there is no site setup for a SCO Unix port of the server/
binaries anywhere.

I would recommend this information be added to the FAQ list. This is getting
to be a common question.

European locations:

It's "home" is at [131.159.8.35] in pub/i386/X11R4. funet.fi in Finland
has it also but I forget the directory name.

Have fun!!
