Thanks to those who responded to my query about the Orchid Prodesigner a couple of weeks ago. Briefly, on replacing another VGA card with the ProDesigner in a UNIX 386 system, I found that accessing the tape driver caused the computer to reboot. I'll just summarize the replies by saying that several persons reported having some difficulties which are very configuration-dependent. There was no definitive explanation or solution. I should note that many people are using the ProDesigner in DOS systems here with no problems. I have had the opportunity to test the ProDesigner II. It worked fine for me, correcting the reboot problem. -- Larry Ray ray@cs.sandia.gov Sandia National Labs, Albuquerque, New Mexico
