qst de k9eui hr propagation forecast bulletin nr 28 from arrl headquarters newngton ct july 9, 1984 to all radio amateurs bt during the past week the solar flux varied between 97 and 104, too small a range to have an observable effect on radio propagation. the earths magnetic field was relatively quiet. the net result was a week of fairly good conditions for mid summer, except for frequent periods of high noise levels from electrical storms. no large change is expected during the forecast week. the solar flux should rise slightly, peaking around 112. propagation on high latitude circuits will be at its best july 9 through 11. conditions will be more unstable for several days thereafter, through about the 18th. conditions on 21 and 28 mhz will be near their summer minimum, with activity confined to transequatorial paths and the low latitudes. sporadic e skip will continue on 28 and 50 mhz, but it will be less frequent after the middle of july ar
