The whole thrust of the no-code debate is to get people into ham radio who would develop that portion of the spectrum, at least on the pro side. We largely lost it because there are many more people in aerospace who are willing and able to use the spectrum space than there were hams. Do you really think that just yelling at FCC or Congress would have preserved the bands? We have to USE them. Me, I'm pretty upset, too.
