[comp.unix.sysv386] VPIX and game ports

keith@dinosaur.lonestar.org (Keith Cantrell) (01/08/91)

Does anybody know of a way to get Interactive's VPIX Version 1.2.0 to
recognize a joy stick? Or I guess more precisely, to recognize a game
port.

Thanks,

Is the joystick connected to a serial port or a game port?

If a game port, does it use an IRQ (I don't know as I have never
used a game port on any of my machines)..

VPIX from ISC came with some kind of a device interface that
allows the use of custom non-standard devices like game ports -
and I would think that there would be a good chance that it
will work -- did you check out device documentation that
came with VPIX?
