You should run the 'initprt' command. It will ask you for a printer name
(like mp1), a printer type (probably standard or dumb) and the parallel
or serial line it is on (lp0 for parallel port 0).

It'll do the rest and even enable the printer for you. To print use lp
<file> provided you made mp1 the default printer (initprt does that if
you answer 'y' to one of its questions)..
