Interactive Unix includes the ICC drivers. If you have 2.2 look on the additional drivers disks. If you have 2.02, I think that you have to upgrade to 2.2. I used the ICC boards for over a year with no problems. The only thing that you MUST remember is that the ICC uses a LARGE on board ram buffer that is addressed as system memory. You MUST have a memory area in the 16 meg area that is NON-CACHED, or the board WILL NOT WORK. Most mother boards and systems include a ram area for this. In the case of compaq, there is usually a switch on the mother board that disables cach from 14meg to 16 meg. On older Mylex boards, you had to buy a PAL upgrade that did the same thing. -- -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ | Mark Hilliard, N2HHR | AWK is not just a | | Fax 315-986-5882 | LANGUAGE | | mark@gizzmo.kodak.com | It is a way of LIFE! |
