This is an old question, but I need to get it straight in my mind. Is the Archive Viper 2150S supposed to be able to WRITE (as well as READ) DC600A tapes? When I try to write to one, it seems to write ok (tar cvfo /dev/rmt/stape4 under Esix rev d), but reading it back (tar tvf), it gives me a directory checksum error. I was under the impression that this drive should be able to write in 120mb format on this series of tape. Should this work under Esix?
