I just uploaded the entire Thomas Roell's X386 Version 1.1 to the ~ftp/tmp directory of uunet.uu.net from my Stanford account. Descriptions follows: X386.README 4220 bytes -> original README written by Thomas Roell X386bin.tar.Z 2841565 bytes -> server and clients etc binaries X386lib.tar.Z 2974827 bytes -> lib files, install scripts etc X386inc.tar.Z 419509 bytes -> header files etc X386man.tar.Z 1182443 bytes -> man pages for X, clients etc. X386src.tar.Z 694760 bytes -> the server src from Thomas Roell X386fonts.tar.Z 2292023 bytes -> all fonts (should have no changes from v1.0) I encourage SYSOPs of all BBSs having connection to uunet.uu.net to download these files whenever it's convenient to you and make them available to as many people as possible. This new version is singificantly *faster* than v1.0, which is already speedy! Operator@uunet.uu.net (Lorelei) already acknowledged the files, so they have found their new home in States. Many thanks to Thomas Roell again. Enjoy. Chin Fang Mechanical Engineering Department Stanford University fangchin@leland.stanford.edu

If you receive two copies of postings with almost the same title, I am sorry! I uploaded X386 to uunet.uu.net around 2:00 PM PST and I immediately tried to post an announcement in comp.unix.sysv386. But my school's news server was down right around that time so after I tried twice without success I decided to post right after my dinner, ~8:15 PM PST. And the server cranked out one old copy that I sent this afternoon right after I finished my new posting! Anyway, I apologize for any inconvenience the repeated postings may cause.
