I had the original XView 2.0 source on my machine. It was put out by Sun last year and lots of codes are very difficult to compile on the SysV.( Sun has been doing a great job not to give out any patches before the next release. :)) I was really excited when I heard that a SysV *port* of XView 2.0 is available by Thomas Roell. I grab the source from 131.159.8.35 ~ftp/pub/xview.tar.Z.(The address specified by people on the net). After diffing the original XView 2.0 library source with the Roell's *port*, I feel like being hit by a baseball bat ! The one I grab from ftp site is TOTALLY identical to the original one put out by Sun on expo ! Am I missing something?(I hope) This couldn't be possible for a *PORT*! I have to ask again: Am I missing something ? Any idea will be appreciated ! Eric Chen

The patches are found within /pub/i386/X11R4/X386.tar.Z. This is just because the Xview2.0 patches REQUIRE also some patches in the Xlib. - Thomas -- _______________________________________________________________________________ E-Mail (domain): roell@lan.informatik.tu-muenchen.de UUCP (if above fails): roell@tumult.{uucp | informatik.tu-muenchen.de} famous last words: "diskspace - the final frontier..."
