[comp.unix.sysv386] SCO Professional

balden@van-bc.wimsey.bc.ca (Bruce Balden) (03/07/91)

Has anyone experienced difficulties with running SCO Professional under
SCO UNIX? The platform is a 25 MHz 386 with no numerical coprocessor.

The behaviour under UNIX seems to be that numerical expressions are
not accepted. The command tree seems to be fine but no actual
computation seems to be possible. I constantly get the message:
"Expression needs to be broken down"

Try with this patch and it will work:

cd /usr/lib/pro
cp calc calc.00
/etc/_fst -w calc
0x17:3c014?w 0x16eb
$q
sync
