[comp.unix.sysv386] reserving memory areas

genshirt@aegsg.UUCP (E312 Genshirt) (03/19/91)

In porting our MS-DOS-software to XENIX-Systems we will have to write
a device driver based on memory mapped I/O. The device controller expects
32K contiguous memory mapped to physical adresses within the first MB.
Do XENIX-Systems offer facilities to prevent a memory area from being
allocated, swapped or moved.

Any information would be appreciated.
