I rebuilt X with Mr. Roell's beta patches (the 1.1b stuff) over the weekend. The mouse/keyboard lockup problem that shows up in ATT 3.2.1 has gone away! (thank you, Thomas Roell) I stuck a copy of the server (X386) here (mildred.lerc.nasa.gov) in pub/unix386.x11r4 if anybody wants to try it out but doesn't feel like building (my machine only takes _six_ hours). The fine print: I used Lachman TCP (doesn't matter much), Xque input devices (you might have to install the mouse driver), gnu dbm (for the colors). - Jim -- ---------------- unx hs its wk Jim McKim / Internet: mckim@mildred.lerc.nasa.gov pts bt obts cmd Phone: +1 216 891 2977 / Packet: kb8dcr@kb8dcr.ampr.org nms isnt 1 of thm ----------------

X386.1.1b is in BETA-Test. That means that there ARE changes almost every day. This is not an official release till now. I'm just collecting bugs and improvements. There will be an announcement when I think it should be publically available. If you want to test it, ok. But don't put the sources on another ftp-server !!!!!! - Thomas -- _______________________________________________________________________________ E-Mail (domain): roell@lan.informatik.tu-muenchen.de UUCP (if above fails): roell@tumult.{uucp | informatik.tu-muenchen.de} famous last words: "diskspace - the final frontier..."
