doc has issued a new proposed spectrum utilization  policy  for
the  890  to  960 mhz band  in addition to the present usage of
the 902 to 928 mhz portion using a3 or f3 only, other emissions
would  be allowed.  if the new policy is adopted, there will be
one condition for amateurs.  they will have to  contact  a  doc
district  office  before beginning to transmit on this band, to
ensure that their transmissions will  not  interfere  with  the
primary users of the band.

doc will hold amateur radio exams across canada on october  17.
if  you  plan  to write, apply to doc by september 19. the next
examinations will be on february 13.
