[comp.unix.sysv386] sendmail error message on ESIX V.3.2, Rev D

tkevans@fallst.UUCP (Tim Evans) (05/07/91)

I've got a brand new machine with ESIX V.3.2, Rev. D, and sendmail
is generating an error message on every e-mail message that's
sent:

sfgets: End of File (feof) ....

Messages get delivered, but this is kinda annoying. ESIX tech support
doesn't seem to know the answer.

I'd recommend just dumping sendmail and replacing it with smail 3.1.

It's not an error message, just informational, and I know of no
way to get rid of it...

Nice to know, that it's a bug..., but so one has to change some of the
sources of the elm, because this message destroy the screen-output of
the elm -- not so nice...
