[comp.unix.sysv386] Archive Viper 150

wcr@ncc.metrolink.com (W.C. Rothanburg) (05/23/91)

This one has me stumped..
The System:

80386 Clone (25mhz)
Future Domain TMC-885 Scsi Adapter. (On IRQ 14, and configured Primary)
Miniscribe 9380s scsi drive
Archive Viper 150 (2150) Scsi tape drive.

The problem, I can issue all the ioctl's I want on the tape drive.
As soon as I try to read or write to the tape, it fails. The drive
does work with the Adaptec controllers with no problem. I've also tried
the tape on scsi id's 1, 5, and 7. The tape drive was recognized when
I tried it on each id.

Thanks in advance...

Bill
