Hello, I'm trying to install a hitachi dk514c scsi harddisk on my 386 pc, running Interactive 2.0.2. Problem: I'm currently ussing a seagate 80 mb harddisk running interactive with no problems. The moment i try to install (from scratch) my interactive on the hitachi harddisk i get the problem that the installation procedure can't open /dev/rdsk/0p0. In both situations the harddisk is configured at Target 0 Lun 0, my scsi board from adaptec is configured according the defaults (interupt 11, parity enabled, scsi address 7, dma 5). Both disks run perfectly under dos (3.1). Both disks are recognized by the scsi controller when running the format uttility in the adaptec bios. I tried to use my seagte at target 0 lun 0 and the hitachi at target 1 lun 0 with no results. (1s0 can't be opend). The only way i can use my harddisk at this moment is when i configure both my scsi board and my hitachi at target 0 lun 0. My adaptec bios finds a C and D disk installed. ( D disk is not present!). Now interactive can be installed. In this configuration i can't use any other scsi devices because all targets (0 to 7) are used by the hitachi disk. (this is shown by the adaptec bios utility). Is there anybody who can give me a hint to solve this problem. (Is it hardware or a driver problem ?)
