I am porting a C program from SunOS 4.0.3 to SCO Unix 1.0. SCO runs on a 386 25Mgz with 8 MB of main memory. The executable is 308159 bytes and it crashes on Unix commands that allocate memory. For example, the malloc executed from an opendir causes a crash. There is available memory on the system but I keep experiencing these crashes. Anyone experiencing similar problems? Solutions? Thanks. L. Ingle Electronic Data Systems

Pick up a copy of my malloc debugging library from your friendly neighborhood comp.sources.unix archive and it will point you towards the cause of your problems. If you can't find it anywhere, let me know. Boy, this is starting to sound like a broken record. -- Conor P.
