i'm trying to get my new Archive 2150S internal SCSI cartridge tape drive running and have run into problems. i've installed the driver at intr 0x3 and rebuilt the kernel. the Drive Identification jumpers have been set to 1 (doing this should make the drive ID 1, right?), and the Buffer Disconnect Size has been set to 4K (i have no idea what it should really be set to). when i boot the machine up, i get the following message: SCSI 1 LUN 0 Archive Viper 150 Error in Read Capacity Command when i try to run "/usr/lib/ctape status", i get the following: ARCHIVE Ctape V1.2 NOTICE: Cartridge Tape Controller Not Found Ct Control Byte = 000000FF /usr/lib/tape/ctape: Cannot Open '/dev/rnmt0': No such device "tar tvf /dev/rmt0" yields the following NOTICE: Cartridge Tape Controller Not Found Ct Control Byte = 000000FF my current configuration is: ISC 3.2.2 generic 386 box @ 25MHz, 387, 8 Mbytes RAM Future Domain SCSI Controller Micropolis 330Mbyte HD Any hints/suggestions/ideas are welcome.
