[comp.unix.sysv386] Would SCO ODT 1.1

blue@TECHUNIX.TECHNION.AC.IL (Baruch Cochavy) (06/14/91)

I consider purchasing ODT 1.1 for my current 386SX machine. As I keep
hearing about hardware compatibility problems, I was wondering weather
I should expect any, given the following:

386SX MB. Uses Intel chip set (82335+82231+82230)
	8MB memory
	Adaptec 1542B
	CP3200F (200MB, SCSI)
	3 1/2", 1.44Mb floppy
	Hercules graphics card.

I remember reading something about the Intel chip set causing trouble
for 3.2.2 . Can anyone suggest any relevant information ?

	Thanks in advance,
	Baruch

I think that there is no Problem in running ODT 1.1. But sometimes if you
have cache memory you can run into trouble. The only way then is, to
 disable the cache memory.
We have installed ODT on different maschines, all is running well until
we enable cache memory on some nonames with more then 8Mbyte RAM.
