I Have just recently acquired VP/ix ver 1.1 with update A, and installed it on my Xenix 386 2.3.2 system, I would like to be able to get to the serial port that has my modem on it. I have modified the vpix.cnf file and I have made the device r/w but I still get an error of cannot open serial port, could some one give me a hint as to what I need to do to fix this?

Do you have a getty hanging on this port? VPIX and getty can't share the port. Gary

This must work ! Do you have checked the permisson of your tty-device Is there a getty hangig on this device? Do you also need this for uucp ? Do you use with/without modem controll?
