tmalaher@ajfcal.uucp (Tom Malaher) (04/17/91)
Configuration: Running SCO ODT 1.0 (Which includes DOS Merge from Locus) Compaq Deskpro 386/20, 16 MB ram, 300MB HD Paradise 16bit VGA1024 512KB (anybody got a 1024x768 driver for SCO?) 3Com 3C503 Ethernet (sdevice entry: e3B0 Y 1 5 1 9 310 31e 0 0) (No DMA, I/O at 310 to 31e, IRQ 9) Serial Port (Microsoft Mouse) tty1A Internal USR 2400 Modem tty2A Now, I've installed a Thomas Conrad 16 bit Arcnet Card (TC6045) I've set the switches for: IRQ 10 (which seems to be free), Memory Base D000:0, no memory mapped I/O registers and of course the network address Start up DOS Merge with "dos +aarcnet" where arcnet is defined (in /etc/dosdev) as: arcnet d ..10.d0000-d3fff. I can run TCCHELP, and it finds the card, correctly reports the memory address and network address. When I run IPX, it reports back OK, but NET3 says: No file servers found. :-( The same H/W and S/W work when the machine is booted under DOS. I wish I could get this working, then I wouldn't have to reboot in DOS just to read the friggin' e-mail on the LAN. Comments anyone?
