[net.ham-radio] Info needed on Uniden CR-2021

   I am very interested in the reviews of the Uniden CR-2021.

   Pleas coudl someone tell me if it uses a battery pack and if so the
voltage.  It looks as if it would make a fine emergenecy/survivalist radio.
Solar cells of the 6v/12v type are reasonably priced and are quite capable
of recharging NiCads for intermittent use.

The Uniden CR-2021 uses 6 "C" cells and also has a 12 volt input plug.
I didn't notice in the specs what the current drain is when using the 12
volt plug but they do admit to only 8 hours of play off the 6 "C" cells.
Two "AA"s are used to hold the memory.
