The contractor is to supply six portable "satcom terminals that can be disassembled and shipped by commercial "or military aircraft. Each terminal is to be capable of offering "256 kilobit/sec capacity to permit encryption." Sounds like something beyond the suitcase-sized comm, but maybe the suitcases will link into these "portable" terminals in the same city as the President. Either way, it doesn't sound like something the aficionado would be able to hear, but for those who asked last month, perhaps its a measure of the security used for such potentially critical communications. 73's, Chris WD5IBS
