The first session of the University Amateur Radio Clubs net will be on October 8th, 0100 UTC (Sunday evening 8:00 p.m. EST) on 3905 khz, +/- QRM. Net control will be K9IU at Indiana Univeristy in Bloomington, IN. The intent of this net is to provide a means for club stations at various campuses to communicate with each other and exchange information that is felt to be of interest to the other club stations. This initial net will be a "get acquainted" session for the clubs. An exchange of size of clubs, type of equipment, club activities and projects, problems, etc. will start the net off. After the introductions, be ready to express your ideas on what you (your club) would like to see happen with this net. We realize that 75 meters may not provide as wide a coverage as everyone would like. Suggestions for alternate frequencies or times will be accepted. I hope to meet all of you on the net. 73 Ed Crandell, WD8CBE President, K9IU ARC ihnp4!inuxc!iuvax!k9iu
