From: Richard Shapiro <RSHAPIRO@BBNA.ARPA> Let me pose this question explicitly so that I don't commit another faux pas: Do hams dislike seeing questions regarding items of interest to SWLs on this mailing list? I've been assuming that (1) anyone with interests in international radio in general would be at least somewhat interested in b'cast-band activity and (2) this mailng list serves, in part, those with interests in general international radio. The conclusion is obvious: that SWL-type questions are approriate here. If either or both of these is wrong, let me know and I'll quit asking questions like the one about music on shortwave. rshapiro@bbna -------

I am a ham and I am interested in receiving SWL messages. If anyone does not want to read any message (either ham or SWL) he/she has an option/right to delete it. Please be polite. TNX Trung Nguyen NO6Q

WHY NOT? IT'S ALL COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY-- YOU CAN'T WORK 'EM IF YOU CAN'T HEAR 'EM! GOOD LUCK! JIM (W2OZH)

Here at Xerox we have two distribition lists, one for Hams and one for SWL's. I am on both. However, since you have no control over where the message goes, I find it great to hear about SWL on the Ham news. Generally, that DL is not overtaxed and should cause no bother. Keep up the good work. Joe N2XS
