The ICOM ht series radios have a characteristic of the transmitter not unkeying exactly when you unkey the PTT switch. This causes a delay before the receiver comes back on. This is a problem when used with repeater telemetry that relays repeater status and such. Question ?? Does anyone know of a remedy to this ICOM characteristic?? I won't call it a problem because it probably doesn't affect everyone. Scott Miles WB6PQM zehntel!zps!digger

The Icom xmit to rcv delay only happens when the Touch Tone[tm] pad is used. The idea is that when dialing, you don't have to hold the PTT buttin in after you have pressed the first number. Thus, the remaining digits can be entered easier. I suppose this feature could be defeated. 73, Jim KY2D
