[comp.unix.misc] schedule application wanted

tom@vpnet.chi.il.us (Tom Hansen) (02/06/91)

I would like any information on avaliable schedule (calendar/appointment)
applications. Need to be able to run on Sys V, Aix, and Xenix. The
features I'm looking for, but have so far been unable to locate, are:
1. Ability to mark an entry private or public.
2. Ability for anyone with system access to view and modify another's public
   schedule.
3. Ability to schedule the same event for recurring days, weeks, etc.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I am looking for a schedule (appointment/calendar) program which runs under
Unix Sys 5, Aix, and Xenix. The features I haven't been able to find
anywhere include:

1. The ability to mark events as private OR public.
2. The ability for anyone to have access to anyone elses PUBLIC schedule and
   add events to it.
3. The ability to schedule events as recurring weekly, monthly, etc.

Thanks for any info.

Uniplex Time Manager does all of this and perhaps a bit more.
It does it well too, I might add.

You could also try (public-domain) 'Remind' which was posted to
alt.sources. You can ftp it from alfred.ccs.carleton.ca (134.117.1.1)
in pub/remind-2.2.06.tar.Z.
