Help! Our system here (SVR2.3) did not come with uuencode/uudecode in the release software. I have checked more than once to be sure. There is no mention of it in the manuals and I do not have any idea how to go about creating a uudecode (which I need to do). Is there anyone who could give me an idea of how to go about getting my hands on some PD source for a suitable utility? Thanks in advance. -- ############################################################################## # elston@edwards-saftd-2.af.mil # ##############################################################################

I received an answer and it works fine. Thanks to everyone who read and replied to my request. (I'm posting this to the net as yet another shameless plug for the archie server; I don't run it or anything, I'm just a very satisfied user who'd like to see as many people as possible using it instead of posting questions to the net that it can answer. :-) You're on the Internet, so you can find the answer to this for yourself by logging into the machine "quiche.cs.mcgill.ca" (132.206.2.3 or 132.206.51.1) as "archie", and typing "prog uuencode" at the prompt. There are so many different sites listed that I can't even begin to mention them all. -- Jonathan Kamens USnail: MIT Project Athena 11 Ashford Terrace jik@Athena.MIT.EDU Allston, MA 02134 Office: 617-253-8085 Home: 617-782-0710
