RE: Meaning of DTMF
I thought DTMF meant 'ual Tonne Multi-Frequency'. Contrary to
popular usage, TOUCH-TONE and DTMF are not the same. TOUCH-TONE is
what the keypad on your telephone produces. DTMF is used for sending
call information from one central office to another.
I guess, since DTMF is used correctly)ly) so frequently to mean
TOUCH-TONE, that DTMF will become another Q-tip or Kleenix.
By the way, the tones used for DTMF are not the same as the tones
generated by your telephone 'dial'. (Check with you local phone-phreak)

I would like to see a group for r/c people, but I would not like to
lose contact with the radio/electronic aspects of r/c.
